Not as Young as I Used to Be...

Well, Jimmy and I gave it our best college try this past weekend and met up with some old friends for drinks downtown. Mom and dad watched BOTH babies for us and even agreed to take them to church Sunday morning so that we wouldn't have to rush home. We booked a hotel in Buckhead and were ready to PAR-TAY!
When all was said and done, we only made it till about 1am, and it took me ALL DAY Sunday to recover. As mom likes to say, "It's hell getting old."
It was wonderful seeing my girls though... :-)

Eberlein Sweaters...

I really enjoy looking back at pics of Cameryn and comparing them to similar pics of Reid. For example, I posted pics in October of Reid wearing the exact same pumpkin costume that Cameryn wore for her first Halloween. It's really fun and brings back such fond memories of when Cameryn was a baby.
My friend Heather's mom is so sweet and always makes the kids' handmade blankets and sweaters. They are just beautiful and I love them! Cameryn is wearing her sweater in the first picture (one of my ALL TIME favorite pictures of Cameryn). Reid of course is in the second picture sporting his sweater and blanket. Thanks Mrs. Eberlein!

Reid's 8 Month Report

Hard to believe, but Mr. Reid was 8 months old yesterday! Here are some of the things he's doing these days...

  • He weighs 14 1/2 pounds.
  • He has his first tooth! That has been a pain (literally and figuratively). His gums are very swollen and I'm sure he has several more about to pop through. It also means that EVERYTHING that he grabs goes directly into his mouth!
  • He can sit unassisted for a short period of time. Still can't push himself into a sitting position, but that isn't really supposed to happen for him for another 2-3 months.
  • He's eating stage 2 baby food. That just means the consistency of it is a little thicker than stage 1 (but still pureed) and usually contains two or more ingredients (ex. apples and blueberries or sweet potatoes and turkey).
  • He's become very observant of everything around him and likes to grab anything and everything he can get his hands on. That means no more dangling earrings for me - ouch!
  • He has figured out how to 'play' in his jumperoo (see video). The first couple of times I put him in it, he'd just stand there and look at me like, "now what?" He's now grasping the concept that jumping is fun!
  • He's finally in size 3-6 month clothes.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let it Snow!!!

Here are several pictures that I took this past Sunday - WE HAD SNOW!!! It was actually the most snow we've had here in years. The white stuff started falling around noon time and kept falling (at quite a steady clip) until about 7pm. I'd say by the end of the day we had about 5 or 6 inches in our yard! Cameryn of course had an absolute ball; she made a snow angel, tasted the snow and even helped build a snowman in the neighborhood! It was very cold so we took a few quick pictures of Reid, and then got him right back inside where it was nice and warm!

SHORTLY AFTER IT STARTED SNOWING
CAMERYN & DADDY IN THE SNOW. JIMMY WAS RATHER UNIMPRESSED - I THINK HE SAW ENOUGH OF THE WHITE STUFF IN NEW YORK AS A CHILD.
POSING IN THE SNOW I'M COLD AND I REFUSE TO SMILE!
UP CLOSE SHOT OF MY BEAUTIFUL GIRL
SNOW ANGEL FROSTY
FRANK WAS CURIOUS, BUT JUST DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! AS FOR LOU, HE WANTED NO PART OF THE SNOW - I COULDN'T EVEN GET HIM TO STAND STILL LONG ENOUGH FOR A PICTURE!

We Love Aunt Joan!

Aunt Joan was in town this past weekend and she was finally able to meet Reid! She also was able to see quite a change in Miss Cameryn since the last time she saw her was when she was 4 months old! I think Cameryn has another best friend. Her other best friend is Aunt Janine! Of course, Aunt Joan showered the kids with fun gifts. Cameryn's favorite was her new V-Tech pink laptop 'cuter' (that is how she says computer)! Thanks Aunt Joan! Can't wait to see you in May :-)

American Idol, Here We Come!

As you can tell, my daughter LOVES to perform! You can tell she was a little loopy in the second clip...it was WAY past her bedtime and she was running on a sugar high!

Uno, Dos, Tres...

Here is a video clip of Cameryn performing - she loves counting to ten in Spanish. Seis and siete are a little garbled, but I think you get the idea :-) Sorry for the lighting - battery was running low!
